We’re very excited to share Tocando la Luz (Touch the Light) with the world, starting with the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival and Ashland Independent Film Festival. We were initially drawn to Cuba because of its rich culture, complex political history and fierce independence as a small island nation. We traveled to Havana looking for an unexpected story that offered a new way of understanding Cuba. Our hope is that this film gives audiences a picture of life in Cuba that is irreducible, as well as warm, illuminating and deeply human.
After three years of traveling back and forth to Cuba and countless memorable experiences – beautiful, illuminating, heartbreaking, and everything in between – we’re thrilled to announce that our film, Tocando la Luz (Touch the Light) will have its WORLD PREMIERE at the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival on April 11th!
It will premiere at the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival Festival in Durham, North Carolina on Saturday, April 11 at 4:10 PM in Cinema 4. It screens the following day at the Ashland Independent Film Festival on April 12 at 9:30 AM in the Armory.
